Howdy Saturday nighters!
OMG, it's so good to have a computer. My neighbor lent me her laptop for today and tomorrow.
After that, I'll be puterless again until I get to Kansas around the 25th or so.
I was sitting on my couch and had just turned to weather channel to see where the storm was heading, when a gigantic boom hit. It knocked me right off the couch onto my ass on the floor, that's how loud it was. Scared the sh*t outta me. My TV went out and I ran into the computer room and saw all kinds of hallucinogenic colors. I turned it off, but it was too late...it's dead too. Then I started noticing it was getting hot, and I went to the thermostat which is digital and it was blank...no air!
Then I pick up the phone to call the cable company and my phones were dead.
Am I happy to be leaving Florida? Oh hell yes!!! But it had to give me one more kick in the ass.
The ac was not covered for lightening. I don't think anything here is, but I will call my home insurance company on Monday and see if anything can be reimbursed.
So, I'm here for the weekend. :-)

Not a good thing
I have to totally quit reading at night. Two nights in a row I have fallen asleep without the mask while reading. Needless to say I wake up about 3:30 am and sleep the rest of the night with it but I am tired, tired, tired. + it is dangerous for me. I have to turn over a new leaf for sure.

1lb Ground beef
1pkt French Onion Soup
1 Oxo – Beef stock cube
1pkt Savoury Mince Mix
Mashed Potato
1 medium onion
Cheddar Cheese - grated
Worcester sauce OR Chilli
Mix the meat, French onion soup, savoury mince mix and oxo/stock cube and a pint of water in a casserole and cook in the oven at 375f for about an hour. At this point you add the Worcester sauce OR chilli to give it a bit of a kick. When cooked place in a dish about 2” deep and about 7-8” long and 6” wide.
Cook and mash the potatoes. Fry the onion. Add grated cheese and onion into the potatoes and top the beef with the potato mixture. Then top off with grated cheese and return to the oven till heated through and the cheese is golden brown.
DON’T MAKE TO MUCH GRAVY WITH THE MEAT OR IT WILL BOIL OVER IN THE FINAL HEATING.

Got a book
As usual, I bought a book as the first step in my new area of endeavor: Crock-pot cooking being the activity and SANDRA LEE'S SEMI-HOMEMADE SLOW COOKER RECIPES 2. (Nothing like a short and catchy title.)
The reason I got the book is I borrowed it from the library and liked the big pretty pictures. And I love the energy of Sandra Lee on TV and her approach that you can pretty well fake anything, and then drink the wine that goes into the dish. Maybe I'm frivolous, but a whimsical approach makes everyday tasks so much more enjoyable. Of course, I know she's serious, but to me it's light.
The first recipe I'm planning to use is a Thanksgiving meal in one pot: Turkey, stuffing, green beans, sweet potatoes, all in one pot. LOL Wish me luck!

Want to echo GraceAlone's post. We as God's people are called by His name. We are to search our hearts amd vote what and who would bring Him glory. If Americans can send McDonald's a message to not support the Gay issues and Mc's dropped it and now do not hold to that lifestyle. I know God's people can look at this situation and say, we love our country and we choose to not allow a leader of this beliefs run this country.
