DEJA VU

"already seen"; also called paramnesia, from Greek παρα para, "near" + μνήμη mnēmē, "memory") is the experience of feeling sure that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously (an individual feels as though an event has already happened or has happened in the near past). The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past.

I got the definition from Wilipedia, I experience deja vu often. Wikipedia's article on this subject is on the skeptical point of view. I truely believe it is a memory of either a past life or we are somehow able to slip into a dimension that is the identical to our own only it would be like a mirror image. If we are able to do this than deja vu could occur from already having a conversation in our twin dimension, viewing the inside of a house in the twin dimension etc. Maybe a far fetched idea but possible.
Deja vu happens to me so often and when it does sometimes I get this weird feeling like I am going to pass out or I get a moment of parallisis,my face and hands begin to tingle .
I almost get the feeling of a panic attack but not as bad .
What do you feel when you experience Deja Vu. How does it affect you and what do you think causes it?

The sexiest things a man can wear . . .

in no particular order.

There's the duster, the long coat associated with the American cowboy and the early days of automotive travel. Especially worn unbuttoned. Particularly if the man is tall. Consider Samuel L. Jackson, striding in duster.

The combination of jeans, turtleneck shirt or sweater and a tweed sports jacket. Consider the young Tom Rush on the cover of the album containing Circle Game.

Kilt. Especially if the guy is in good shape and wears it with an Eisenhower jacket. Consider any local Highland Games or, better still, the group put together by Phil Coulter to bring "manliness" to music: Celtic Thunder.

What is your favorite meal to cook? It doesn't have to be an elaborate meal. I have absolutely feel in love with coconut fried shrimp, fried sweet potatoes, salad, corn and coconut pudding to finish. So now what is your favorite. Pam

Embarrassing problem

Okay, I need some advice. I have always had a problem with IBS. I'm kind of a nervous person to begin with and it seems any negative emotion results in my gut going into a spin and giving me a good case of the runs. I also take diabtes medication that works well for me so I don't want to change it but it causes things to loosen up especially in the morning. I can live with that and I do. I am latose intolerant so I have to stay away from dairy or same thing. I have weeks of this sometimes and then weeks to months of not suffering from it. I've been told to take fiber suppliment but they never help I just have the runs with fiber in it.
But the last couple of day the problem has gone over and above the usual. Everything and anything I eat causes me to "run" it all out. I've tried over the counter medication like imodium and it it works after several doses but only until my next meal. Something is wrong. The doctor I have now will smile and say, "But you know you have IBS these things happen. etc. I've had a colonscopy this year and it was fine. Is there a diet of some kind I can go on until this goes away? Does anyone know a solution? As a diabetic I have to eat every so often. I take one darvocet at night for back pain and I have to have that or I wouldn't be able to sleep. I don't think that is causing it. HELP!

Update

I have an update to my first post and I promise it won't be that long. It has to do with our male shepherd. Last night my husband comes rushing into my bedroom screaming there is an emergency, not telling me what is wrong. I take a medication that really wipes me out so I can get a good night's sleep, so I was groggy and fuzzy. I ran downstairs and smelled something liked burned onions. I thought the house was on fire. Nope. Apparently our dog had attacked and killed a skunk and had gotten skunk yuck all over him when he bit the skunk. I know this is gross but I need to tell you that I was woken up solely for the purpose of making phone calls if necessary. I am the only one who can use the phone! Well of course I called animal control and they were closed. I went to bed and they dealt with the stinky dog. We had some tomato soup and shampoo and that was bath #1. Today,Friday, he was okay but still stunk so I helped give him an outside bath and he was his usual silly self. Then my 19 year-old son and I were watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics and joking around and having fun. When it was over I was giving him a hug goodnight and spontaneously started covering him with one of his pillows. We were laughing and all of a sudden our dog jumped me from behind, grabbed my arm and started biting. I was in shock. This is my dog. He attacked me. I have been told by my husband many, many times that he is a killing machine because he kills animals. I told you about the cats and now the skunk. There have been other wild animals. But he hurt me. And I mean he hurt me. My arm is swollen and bruised and I have teeth marks as well. Some places were actually bleeding. I was lectured not to behave in any way that might antagonize him to attack me. Excuse me. He bit one of his owners. Doesn't that cross a line that it shouldn't? Not according to my so-called husband. He is sorry that I am hurt, and he was nice enough to clean my wounds and put band aids on my arm, but do I feel comforted or protected? No way. I feel so unimportant; like I really do not matter. The dog stays and life goes on. I just have to be more careful. Thanks for listening.

Biased Coverage Hurting Obama

This article from consortiumnews.com shows how Obama may be getting more coverage than McCain, but it's, to a great extent, negative and biased coverage and is influencing millions of Americans against him. Robert Parry gives several examples. Here's one:

Why McCain May Well Win
By Robert Parry, August 6, 2008

On Monday, Obama gave a detail-rich speech on how he would address the energy crisis, which is a major point of concern among Americans. From ideas for energy innovation to retrofitting the U.S. auto industry to conservation steps to limited new offshore drilling, Obama did what he is often accused of not doing, fleshing out his soaring rhetoric.

McCain responded with a harsh critique of Obama’s calls for more conservation, claiming that Obama wants to solve the energy crisis by having people inflate their tires. McCain’s campaign even passed out a tire gauge marked as Obama’s energy plan.

For his part, McCain made clear he wanted to drill for more oil wherever it could be found and to build many more nuclear power plants.

These competing plans offered a chance for the evening news to address an issue of substance that is high on the voters’ agenda. Instead, NBC News anchor Brian Williams devoted 30 seconds to the dueling energy speeches, without any details and with the witty opening line that Obama was “refining” his energy plan.

So, instead of dealing with a serious issue in a serious way, NBC News ignored the substance and went for a clever slight against Obama, hitting his political maneuvering in his softened opposition to more offshore drilling.

There's a lot more and it's a little scary. view link
