Britain Announces $87 Billion Bank Rescue Plan
It's 8:45 pm Hawaii time and I turned on CNN expecting to watch the post debate debate...and instead I found CNN International broadcasting from London. The British have announced their own banking rescue plan in the amount of $87 billion. They hope it will restore some stability. It's a little worrisome to see how this is developing worldwide.
In addition, the Nikkei closed down over 9%... The Russian stocks plunge in a global selloff. Here's a link if you want to really get depressed...

Here's the good news: Stephen Colbert is running for president in the Marvel Universe. And, according to Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, the unhinged television superstar is gaining serious momentum.
Here's the bad news: He's not doing the same in the real world. Mark Waid, The Amazing Spider-Man writer who assimilated the faux newscaster/White House wannabe into issue No. 573 of the comic book, thinks we could use a Colbert presidency more than we could use a Palin vice presidency.
"Despite what a frightening number of red-staters seem to think," Waid said, "as impressive as it is, being able to field-dress a moose is not a superpower."

Hey folks,
Please be patient with me while I go through computer problems. I think it might take a while to fix the problem. I'm on the "Family Computer" now so I can at least check in with my good friends here from time to time.
But the bulk of my work is done from my personal desk top computer which has a "Corrupted Administrator" account file and I cannot log on to my desktop. I may have to do a clean restore or some such other extreme measure to fix the problem.
Anyway, please wish me luck that I'll be up and running normally again soon.

I recently counted the postings on our site and all the ones being featured except one, contained my photo. I do not need to see my picture all the time when I log onto this site. I want to see questions or situations posted by some of the other sistas. I have one sista working all day and can't get to her computer. I have another who can only use a generator at night, and one more out on medical issues. I need your help. I am asking for your help. I know that you have issues you want to discuss, we all do. Even if you can't think of an issue of your own, think of a general situation which probably affects another sista.
