Just North of Luck
Just North of Luck (ISBN 0-7414-4359-7) is the sequel to Genesis Beach. Logan Hunter heads to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to root out bootleggers, but when a serial killer targets school personnel in the area, she is assigned to work with local law enforcment. Logan teams up with a hunky detective who introduces her to a Testicle Festival and other Appalachian culture. More people die while Logan and Chase try to put enough evidence together to make an arrest. Logan catches the killer and the two go on a mud ride down the swollen French Broad River. Only one walks away.
