I moved stuff off, into the living room and kitchen...a tote of clothes, a neat little deal to load fishing line on my reels, tossed 3 patio chair cushions out the back door into the darkness, grabbed the fishing rods (6 or 7), as I thrashed them through the door, a treble hook lure (rapala)

caught in my left pointer finger on the side...and...stuck plus it was pulling because the lure was still on the line and was tangled up with the rest of the rods...
I knew what to do...how to get it out...but...I couldn't pull the rod further into the trailer so I could reach my pliers...after 3 minutes of trying...I finally pulled as hard as possible and inched the 6 feet to my table...couldn't get it out of my finger...I grabbed a finger nail clipper, tried to cut the lure...no way...so I found a scissors and cut the line, releasing all pressure on the lure..then I could use the pliers...which I did

pressed a kleenex on the wound to stop the bleeding...now I realize many of you 'motherly types' are going to be warning me about tetanus , lock jaw and vampirism...but I am not planning to goto doc for shot unless the signs of infection show up
I was now, not happy, so I finished clearing the bed, remembered I needed to take a sleeping pill...oh, I forgot to take my night pills....oh s***, darn, I forgot to bring my meds...along with my donuts, cookies, apples, oranges, and dog treats
now, I am really unhappy...I can get by without most of my meds (according to me, probably not according to my doc)...I do need my requip (for restless leg syndrone) and my sleeping pills, and probably my mother-in-law med (anti-depressant) but to go 3 days/nights without?...probably not...so I will be making the 3 hour drive back and 3 hour forth trip so I can be medicated properly...maybe add another day or two up here
took me a long time to fall asleep (probably 1/2 hour or more) and I was hot and sweaty (from the struggle with the hook)...soon it began to cool, I pulled the comforter up...later woke with a bit of chill in the air...got up about 4 to make the requisite bathroom run...gosh durn it...it was cold...I found the electric heater, plugged it in and 52 degrees...I crawled back in bed, convinced the dawg to join me (he prefers laying on the bed to laying on the floor...duh) and tried to fall back asleep again
got up about 5.30...7 hours sleep...ok I guess...normally I would be already looking forward to my nap from 1-2pm...not today...will be on the road
as mentioned none, well most of this wouldn't have happened if Terri were with me... this time I didn't get lost, but I wouldn't have forgot the coffee, meds, treats...she would have been more careful moving the fishing rods ...it would have been just as cold, but we would have been warm together..
ah the rigors of the wilderness
I realize things will be better, smoother, funnier, quicker...but for now...not a happy camper
