Date for December Conference in Scottsdale?

Hello!
Does anyone know the details for the Dec. conference in Scottsdale??, i.e., dates, location, price, etc? I would love to go, just need more information. Thanks!

Oops...I thought I was posting a reply on a different message! HippyGirl, I think it was your post from a few weeks ago where you said you were going to Scottsdale for the combined EONS/AARP conference? Sorry for my "mis-post!"

Just in case anybody would like info on Eons/AARP Event in Scottsdale, Az on December 6th and 7th at Scottsdale Ctr for the Performing Arts. A beautiful city to visit, great restaurants and sight-seeing and one of the best times of the year to visit. Make it a vacation and visit Phoenix and maybe the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Prescott. Arizona is a beautiful state.

Wow...I'm impressed! Thank you Big Red and Hippy Girl for such a quick response. I will check out your links. I recently passed through Scottsdale in late June on my first trip to AZ. I'm looking for a place to live and work in Arizona unil I retire in ?? years! Not sure if I would ever be happy NOT working in some way, shape or form!!! However, this conference would give me a chance to get to know Scottsdale a bit. AND: Speaking of Scottsdale: I haven't seen anyone mention Scottsdale...too expensive? too snooty? too anything else? Input on this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you in advance.

I lived in Scottsdale for about 12 years and it is everything you suggested...a little expensive, a little snooty but the thing that made me move to another part of the Valley was the TRAFFIC. Just like people in LA want the 90210 - Beverly Hills zip code - Scottsdale brings so many people and the city planners allowed some high density housing - condo, apartments, etc. so the traffic is wicked.

I tell people coming here to try the east side of town and not too far from the road to the airport. You'll be happy. There are very nice areas besides Scottsdale.

My youngest just moved to Laveen, AZ not far from his job in Phoenix at Chase and we went to Scottsdale last Christmas when we were there for the lights and festival. Pretty downtown, but the heat is just too much for us in the spring and summer - dry or not :)

The Festival of the Wise is December 6 and 7, 2008.

It is $35.00 for the two day event. entrance to all conference sessions and the concert on Sat (late afternoon) are included. We will have an Eons discount up soon so if you go to view link so you can stay in touch.
