Sorry for misspelling "going". I wonder if there is a word like "goint" - if there isn't there should be - it's kind of interesting.

I don't think I'm going to see it.
I also read the story about Heath Ledger and it sadden me. I also read that Jack Nicholson warned Heath about playing the role of The Joker! Of course it didn't bother Jack when he played it because his brain is already fried (The Shining!)
That's one thing about actors ... they can become so engrossed in their characterizations that they find it hard to break free.
I think just looking at the movie and thinking about him would sadden me ... he was so young!
I'm not going to see this one until it's for rent, but I would love to see "Mama Mia!"

I saw it on Friday night and Heath Ledger's performance is brilliant! He plays The Joker in a way that I never thought could be captured. I believe he became so engrossed in the character that he took on the dark, mad persons of The Joker. What a tragedy. The group with me feel his performance is worthy of a posthumous Oscar nod.
Persona, not persons, lol.
Lady - thank you for sharing your Dark Knight experience. I have always felt that there was something indefinably intriguing about Heath Ledger. He was never just your ordinary actor but it's as if he was coming from a very different place in the mind. Your comment confirms this.

I plan on seeing "Dark Knight". I have been a comic book fan all my life and have no plans to change now. As far as Heath Ledger is concerned, I loved the movie "A knight's Tale" he starred in. I plan to revel in his acting and not dwell on his death. I think he would want it that way...
I saw it and hated it...
Why did it end that way?
The Joker was Scarey.....what was up with the dragqueen performance?
And they protrayed Batman with hookers and an ego that could not be believed...
The storyline was lame and the plot was stupid...
I gave it a big zero...don't know why anyone would waste their time and money on that one...
I did see "Wanted"....great movie...pretty dark but at least
it had a plot and a great storyline....
Iany thoughts felt like Batman was a flop to say the least....
