I'm back folks, sorry I haven't been around of late. I see we've had some interesting posts. Rather than update the Missouri flooding post again, just let me say clean-up is still in progress for those whose homes were flooded.

This continues to be a massive job. Flooring, drywall and insulation has to be removed, ALL moisture removed, spray to prevent mold, then reinsulate, dry wall and new flooring.

Many thanks to volunteer groups helping with these tasks such as Americorp and Operation Blessings, whose selfless volunteers are making a real difference in the recovery of these families. I'm Red Cross and I've been doing shelter ops and mass feeding of emergency responders and volunteers as well as the residents.

I know many of our members have also been busy, if not working disasters, but new jobs and other responsibilities.

But lets get back on the DP track here. A few months ago, a new member asked what kind of disasters each area of the country was prone too. Let's kick it around!
