Newspaper Reading
Smart people read the Sports pages first in their daily paper to read of man's (or woman's) accomplishments. Then we read the front page news section to read of man's failures! J. dePamphilis, Eons Philosopher, 7/2008

My wife may have the right idea for her. She starts with the funny pages, then entertainment, then the news. I think it works for her.

I read the obits. If I'm not there, I go back to bed.

Like Larry, I start with the obits. I used to start with the police report to see if there were people I knew. Now, I seem to know more people in the obits then the police reports. I read the papers online. Local and CT.

I don't read the paper or watch the broadcast news. I figure if it is really important I'll find out about it.
