I presume that you clicked on the link "View and edit my groups" that is just below the groups showing on My Eons.
You do need to place your cursor over the photo or avatar of the group when reordering. If you place it on the group name, it will not move it.
I just tried it with my groups to see if I could recreate your problem, and mine moved without any problems. I also use Firefox so that would not have made any difference.
Let me know if you still can't get the groups to reorder.
I was on view my groups, then when I saw your message I went on view and edit groups. It did the same thing. It will only let me move one group. Then I go back to my eons and do it again.
I'm not really sure why you are having problems with moving the groups. I've tried it several times now, and mine move where I want them without any problems.
When you put your cursor over the group photo, does it change to a symbol that looks like a plus sign with little triangles on each arm? To me it reminds me of a directional symbol.
Yes it changes to the triangles, I left click on the picture, drag 1 group, move the cursor to another picture, it changes to the triangles again, but when I left click and try to drag I get a circle with a line through it prohibiting me from moving any others.
This has me totally stumped. I can't recreate what you are experiencing no matter how hard I try. I've moved my groups all over and back again and it all seems to work fine. The only time I get the circle with the line is if I'm actually on My Eons page, and I try to drag from there without bringing up a page that shows all of my groups.
ok, thanks for your help. It must be something with my computer. Maybe one of my addons in Firefox or something.
