Food

yes tootsie i have heard of those places-i'm sure they have them here also. Good idea--at this point i'm thinking of applying for food stamps.I never in my life thought i'd be doing that again. But after adding all my expences -all bills N rent paid--i barely have enough for food. Thank God i'm the type of person when i had MONEY i stock up--i just always liked a lot of food in the house. I'm not worried--i won't starve. But this is something now i think i have to do--so Tues. i'm going for an application. Now that makes me feel a little sad.
have a good one

I need help!!!

I want to put a banner up for my group..but I am not sure how. I found a graphic on photobucket that I thought would work, but it was all scrunched together in a small photo (it didn't look like that when I saved it to my file). It's late and so I am going to have to go to bed soon, but I will keep checking for response tonight and tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance for your help.

Restless, Irritable and Discontent

Restless, Irritable and Discontent...This was the topic of tonight's meeting. A great topic. I heard something that made me realize that I'm human and there will be times I'm restless, irritable and discontent...it's okay. I just don't want to be this way all of the time and I want to find ways other than a drink to handle these feelings. I always thought it was wrong to ever feel these 3 emotions. Tonight an old timer said it was normal to feel them once in a while because WE ARE HUMAN. What's not okay is to drink over these emotions. We must use the tools of our program to combat tjem. I liked hearing this.

Reuse & recycle - but within limits

by Jennifer on September 9th, 2008

The reuse & recycling of old goods is smart for the planet and your wallet; especially when it comes to big items like shelving and tables. However, there are times when that flea market / antique shop / thrift store find might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Follow these rules when shopping for big ticket used items…
