A special request

As a member of this group, I would ask that you remember a young man
and his family in your prayers, meditations & spiritual entreaties.

....here in Michigan. Their 21yr old son took his service
revolver and committed suicide at the beginning of the
week, rather than return to Iraq on his morning flight.
He was a friend to my twins, also 21. We have survived
a completed suicide in the past, as a family. It will be difficult
for them.

My heart grieves for his family (and all our families impacted by
this bludgeoning war)......services will be Tuesday and I'm praying
for the strength to go with them for support.

God hold him dear and close where there is no more pain.

Thank you

May he rest in peace now. Imagine the turmoil this poor soldier was going through to have done something so drastic.

God bless his soul and bring it to heaven so that he can find some happiness.

Our entire family will be keeping his family - and you - in our prayers. I know this is hard for you, as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. It seems that our children has had much more experience with their friends dying than I ever had. Our children grow up in a hard world. Sincerely, Ibis

My prayers go out to you, your sons, and the family of this poor soldier - God Bless his precious soul!

I am the manager of a group entitled "Our Military Heroes" which you might find something you would find to be beneficial.

You don't say where you are from in Michigan - but I am from Michigan as well. You might find the book entitled "Take the Dimness of My Soul Away." It is a book (very small in size - quick read) that offers healing after a loved one has taken their life. It is written by William A. Ritter who is with the First Methodist Church in Birmingham, Michigan.

A friend of mine's son committed suicide last year, and his nephew committed suicide just a short time before his son did. Then he lost another nephew in an auto accident just a couple of months after this. But someone gave him this book, and he said it was one of the most helpful pieces of information he received.

May peace be with all of you - and I hope you can find this book for some comfort. If you cannot find it, let me know, and I would be happy to send it to you. Just send me a PM.

God Bless all of you!

How sad. You know this wonderful young soldier had to really be hurting. My prayers are for him, his family and friends that they heal to where at least it's easier. I have lost so many family members in the last few years I have come to realize that our loss is heaven's gain.

God will help all of you through this, just have faith.

hugs,
Suzie

I have seen too many wars and what they do to our young men and women. I will pray that God takes his soul to heaven and realizes that the young man just couldn't take anymore. It seems like doing away with the draft has hurt us more than it has helped us. We are continually sending these young men and women back into combat after they have already served our country. It is sad for our "sons and daughters" who have chosen this career to be used so brutally. I do not have answers, only questions. Blessings to ALL who have someone dear defending our nation! They have my heartfelt graditude. Mama Helen
