Lovers
two people on a starlit beach, waves barely making a sound. they turn and look into each others eyes, and know that this is right. her hand he takes, then pauses, a kiss he steals from her. the moon seems to wink at them, you're lucky, both of you. then finally a glimpse of Sun, they hold tight to each other. for nothing else in this old world, nothing else does matter.
Congratulations Luv60's
Happy to hear that you are the moderator of this great group.

Do You Remember ?
Rise And Shine
Knock, Knock
This is a new day knocking on your door.
Are you ready to face it with a smile and great
anticipation?
Or are you grumbling because you have to get
up out of your warm, cozy bed and trudge through
another work day?
We are so blessed to be able to have another day
to enjoy and to make new friends, meet new challenges
and to enjoy the new adventures that each day brings.
I for one am very happy to be able to start my day off
with you and I do cherish your friendship.
You are a blessing in my life and we never forget our blessings
that's for sure.
Have a great day everyone and be safe.
Sandy

The second debate is History - what did you think?
The only thing missing was Palin:
Both candidates spoke about national security to a small extent but they both missed the boat. Neither one spoke about increasing national security by taping Palin's mouth shut.
I think McCain looked like an old man, walked around like an old man and kept reverting back to the old man syndrome; speaking of Ronald Regan, Teddy Roosevelt etc. I was waiting for him to tell us about his last conversation with Teddy Roosevelt. He did throw it that new wrinkle about buying up foreclosed mortgages but where was the meat? He kept promising before the debate that his gloves would come off, but I think he forgot he was wearing them. In the face of the enemy he backed down.
I think Obama connected well with a certain group of people and looked and sounded presidential. If I see fault with Obama it's that he is an intelligent man who says what most of here understand without stressing the details. However, the average American is not as smart as Obama gives them credit for being when it comes to government and politics. I keep waiting for him to explain in more detail about issues and what brought us to this current crisis. He says we are in this problem because of greed and leaves it at that.
I just wish he would say, look folks AIG gave out policies covering mortgages, banks and companies that eventually went under because of failed loans that should never have been made under the terms that they were. They never imagined that a collapse would happen so instead of keeping enough money to back their policies they spread the wealth around their own company in the form of million dollar bonuses, 300 million dollars for 10 members of one department, golden parachutes in paying multimillion dollar severances and depleted the company so much that when they had to pay out on policies the money wasn't there. Therefore those companies insured didn't have the insurance money available and also went under. Bush-McCain fought regulations which allowed them to get away with that. Now after getting 700 billion dollars the top executives are now taking trips, getting their hair and nails done with your money, laying on the beach with your money and have hired back the key player in the cause of the downfall who was fired because of it at 1 million dollars a month. Happy days are here again (for some) with your money and Bush-McCain haven't acted yet on the regulations and the ink isn't even dry on the 700 billion dollar bailout. Of the 85 billion given to AIG they have gone through 65 Billion and nothing has changed
I think these would be words that anyone could understand. I think Obama would connect better with all Americans if he would say it more like Harry Truman...plain talk. We don't all get it with the few words.
Since the candidates couldn't stomach mentioning Palin I will:
On Jay Leno: If someone held a gun to Palin's head and asked her what the SEC was she couldn't tell you, but she could tell you what kind of gun it was!
