Sunset on the Eastern Shore

My apologies to those of you who may have already seen these pictures in another group! Tonight's sunset was just so spectacular that I had to share it with everyone. I was at a HS Homecoming game taking pictures for a friend . . . and I had a front row seat for Mother Nature's artistry. ~KK

A Message From Your Cassandraic Overseer

Folks, I admit that in spite fo my tireless attempts to warn of the danger in the occurance, in all probability Obama will become the next President of the United States. As a Negro and as a caring American, I, of course, wish him well. But bear this in maind. Write it down for future reference:

The Obamas, sans a November suprise as last seen with the election of Harry Truman; when installed as the new residents of the White House, will indeed represent a turn of the page in American History that I, like most Negroes in the United States have wanted very much to be alive to witness. But again, I ask you to mark my words: this particular couple will not prove to be an asset to the political or social promise of our country.

It is not just that Obama is a seriously limited neophyte in the workings of Presidential policy or function; Though this of course is a truely dangerous deficit. But most importantly, because he will be unable to ward off presures to conform to the notions, (largely self serving) of most of those who have contributed to his advancement. Both by boosting his ego and his election purse.

The tangled knot of problems that are now confronting America, domestically and internationally, are beyond the ability of Obama and/or those whom he will feel obligated to have form his cabinet possess. I do not know who, in the current state of derth in intelligent and able Americans; we could put forward to take on this collosal state of dysmal affairs; but it is not the time for an egotistical neophyte; be he or she black or white.

All I can say at this point, with all my Agnostic ardor, is GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOME. I am ready to cry a river on Election Day.

Frugal Crossword Puzzle Gift

I found this on one of my frugal site and thought it would be a great gift idea.
Frugal Crossword Puzzle Gift Idea This is a frugal holiday or birthday gift idea for people wholike crossword puzzles. If you get the daily newspaper, or have aneighbor who does (and doesn't do the crosswords), do this: Cut out the crossword puzzle, and find the page that has thesolution on it. Staple, glue, tape, or otherwise fasten thepuzzle and the solution back-to-back so each puzzle has itsanswers right with it. Collect as many puzzles as you'd like togive. You could one from every newspaper for a year and give itfor Christmas or a birthday. Add a pen, a cheap clipboard or other hard surface, and whateverelse you think would go with a bunch of crossword puzzles. Put itin a box and wrap it with (what else?) the Sunday comics. If your friend gets the same paper you do, ask a neighbor whogets a different paper, or gather old crossword books and cut outthe used ones and their solutions. If they really like a challenge, don't attach the solutions. Either put them in, loose (and they have to sort them out) ordon't include them at all. And when they're done with the puzzles, they can be thrown in therecycling bin (minus the staple or tape.) Source: I got this idea because I usually keep the section of ournewspaper that has the comics, but I kept the WHOLE section. Ihave slowly been going through them and cutting out the comics Iwanted to keep, and any undone crossword puzzles, and of course,I want the solutions, so I attach those, too. So I have this folder of thirty or so crossword puzzles.

Sticky Message Doesn't Keep Me Glued To the Group

Since the home page doesn't indicate owner or moderator, I will just throw this out for general consumption. Don't worry, it has Zero Calories...lol.

I used to come here long ago occasionally. But, I popped in at someone's personal request and got a very strange greeting at the door. If I were truly new to this group or online experience, I think I would have turned around and left.

Welcoming? NOT. Chastizing from what seems to be some lofty position? YES.

I suggest replacing the 'sticky message' and proceed with an intriguing question or subject.

tonight on the radio

I heard that wall street only lost 7 trillion dollars this week. Most of it was in 401k accounts. Lets see what that looks like in zeros 7,000,000,000,000,000.00. Good bye retirement for alot of people.

Next, I heard a man who not only had his 401k wiped out this week, but he had 3 million in a bank that was getting taken over because it failed. After the take over is complete he will get 20 cents on the dollar and his 3 million will be worth 60,000. He and his wife are getting professional help to deal with everything.

Then I got to here Bushes 7 minute radio address about how everything is fine and his admiistration has our economy under control. They didn't say if this was before or after he went begging European nations to bail us out of this mess.

I'm just glad I don't have anything thing to lose and live day by day. Already been their and done that which many American are going to experience for the first time in their lives. Poverty.

Shameful Voting Fraud in Ohio and Elsewhere

Ohio Vote Fraud Likely 'On Massive Scale' And Pro-Obama Courtesy of Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. As an Ohioan, I am appalled to see my state in the news with these allegations!
Read about it view link and view link

We have a county in Ohio with more registered voters than people of voting age. Local barbers are giving free haircuts for votes for Obama. There are organizations rounding up the homeless and paying them off and driving them to vote early (and often). "Vote early and often!" Ring a bell? Accounts of one voter being registered 16 times. The list goes on! How can any candidate or party justify this kind of dishonesty and fraudulent manipulation?
