seriously, he was not in good shape, but the surgery went well and he is recovering. i am sure he would love to hear from you guys. you can pm me for more news.

As the Democrats beat up on McCain because of two terms of GWB, why don't the Republicans respond? The Democrats claim that, when Clinton left office, we were enjoying peace, we were respected in the world, we had a huge surplus, and everything was love and roses?

My response would be: First, of course there was a surplus after the Clinton years because (1) He decimated our military; (2) He closed dozens of military facilities; and (3) He cancelled all defense systems and left us unprepared and vulnerable; Second, Clinton either did not recognize or ignored the fact that the United States was being attacked by Islamic radicals, e.g., the first WTC bombing, the Khobar Towers, the USS Cole and our Embassies in Africa.

It is only logical, if you continue collecting billions in taxes and don't spend them, you will end up with a surplus. If you ignore attacks on our country, indeed, an idiot will think he is experiencing peace. Duh! Respected in the world? The world looked at the U.S. as a nation of weak suckers. Obama is promising the same things. I cannot believe so many people are comfortable with that.

Have you ever had a dream or nightmare so intense, you felt as though you were actually in it?

I have had many experiences with online people. Some have been wonderful, others a nightmare. Someone is honest, someone is making up a persona. All in all, since we cannot actually see the people we communicate with online, I often wonder how much trust should be placed.

What I am very interested in knowing, is how much do you trust your online friends? Are you generally a trusting person or are you skeptical?

I don't want any specifics, but I would like to know how you feel about this and if there was cause for the way you feel.

Thanks Debbie, for the invite. I've been using computers since...well it's been a long time, I've been on a mac for quite some time...the point &and shoot capacity that it has, is wonderful because I have a lot of frustrations anyway with my pc. Are there just pc people here, or are their mac folks here also? Recently my printer died, I'd had a replacement printer, however, I'd accidently deleted the driver and the company now bi longer provides it on line. My fax machine is old (2004) and I should get a new one, as it and I have some "issues"...something about finding it hard to get the film...oh, and I washed (accidently, the cordless that went with it). Altogether I'm beginning to feel like a clutz with computers.

I need to upgrade the os on the mac, using a disc...I've been looking for a printer on craiglist. Complicated...do other people have these problems? I'm also trying to be thrifty at the moment.
