They look normal to me. The vines will continue to die as the potatoes mature. At the end of the growing season the vines will be pretty much dried up. During this drying period the skin of the potaoes toughen and this helps them in storage. You can start havesting new potatoes about 2 weeks after they finish blooming. I usually pick what I want to eat. Harvest them all at the end of the growing season and put them unwashed in a dark cool place. Or if I don't have at least 50lbs I will wash them and store them in the refrigerator vegie drawer. Mine will keep through December this way.
I agree with above. The plants are supposed to die off - that is normal. They are putting more energy into the potatoes at this point. Usually my plants are almost totally dead before I dig the tubers.
(I've never heard of storing spuds in a refrigerator though - I thought that actually shortened their life span in storage. So that was an interesting thing to note).
