Hey, let's play a new game here on Memory Lane... A memory of Summers' past. Beginning with A and continuing through Z, list a fond memory you have of Summer... a smell, sound, sight, activity, vacation spot, etc., whatever! Okay I'll begin with A :

Allentown (PA) Fair... A wonderful local, Lehigh County Fair, held each July, featuring farm exhibits, displays, rides and great PA Dutch Foods!

Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, Ny---wonderful beach, with a great boardwalk which goes into Coney Island. I had some great times there.

Cartwhheels!! Learning to turn cartwheels out in the yard and spending all summer getting good at it. We would try and out-do one another,and see who could do the most.

Evenings in summer at Grandma & Grandpa Maynard's place near Stephensville on the Wolf River, chasing lightning bugs to put into empty Miracle Whip jars till I had a lightning bug lantern.

Fireworks-Every August 16th, which is Bennington Battle Day celebrated every year,of course in Bennington,VT.The airport would put on a display of fireworks which was located just past our back yard. Friends and family would get on my father's haywagon which was loaded with bales of hay and we would watch the fireworks that night.
