Well, Arc, you've been tensed at the starting gate for some time now and since I do have some more in mind, but have been a bit under the weather, I say, GO WITH IT! BUT, let's include Kat's suggestion also..."metaphors". We can call this "COLORED CLICHÉS".
I thought I was dead,
I was red on the head,
as a Limey Double Decker.
But to my chagrin,
my only one sin,
was, I was a
Redheaded Woodpecker.
Silly? Yeah, but the best I can do off the top of my woodpecker head.
That's a start, I'm sure the rest of you can do much better.
