What I thought was very interesting, yesterday, when he announced his plan, he refuse to meet with the candidates alone. He will only discuss his plans, in a meeting with both sides or after the election, with the new president. Also, this old Texan, is putting his money where his mouth is, to the tune on 1 Billon, yes that’s a B dollars. To start this project.
he is one of the richest men in the world, so he will not miss a Billon or 2.

Pickens has made his money and now he's giving back. I think that's good. Besides, its a great idea.
I also agree with his approach in how he intends to deal with the candidates on this. This is too important and issue to have this politicized. Fossil fuelds are limited, and we can't drill our way out of the problem. Also, unlike other energy sources, there is no pollution as a result of the power wind turbines generate.
A billion dollars is a good start, and hopefully that will spur government investment as well.
