Tony back in a Chevy 4 sure !!

Tony Stewart got his release from the final year of his contract with Gibbs
ESPN.com Tuesday night.
He will announce his departure from the team Wednesday.
Then on Thursday at Chicagoland He'll formally announce a move to Haas/CNC Racing as co-owner and driver,
Haas/CNC, which fields the Nos. 66 and 70 Chevrolets, renamed Stewart Haas Racing in 2009.

Tony will b the highest-paid driver in NASCAR.(SINGLE)
Stewart Haas cars will carry different numbers. They say that Stewart will own a 50 percent stake in the organization, but his financial investment is not disclosed.

Like we had said be4 Office Depot will be a sponsor of Stewart's car.

Newman might come in that will be told also this week..
Stewart Haas will still get chassis and engines from Hendrick...
Remember ,Stewart's champion's provisional will guarantee him a slot in the field for the first five races next season, if NASCAR doesn't change the rule.

He owns multiple sprint car teams and a trio of racetracks, including Eldora Speedway.
and He is single (smart) lol

Maybe this will get Tony out of his slump. Hope so, like to see him win some more, especially in the Chase. Single huh, wonder how he feels about older women? Hehehe.

Hate to say it , but I think it will be all down hill from here for him . Name ONE Owner/Driver thats been successful ? Don't say JG , because we all know it's on paper only .

A guy named Alan Kulwicki did pretty good in 1992! Unfortunately fate caught up to him :^(

I think Tony will be OK as an owner-driver if he gets the right people to run the day-to-day stuff and let him concentrate on what he does best - driving. It will be interesting to see if he trys to get Zippy released too. They seem to have an excellent working relationship that is crucial to on-track performance. You cannot buy trust, and he seems to trust his crew chief.

I look forward to watching the team develop over the rest of this year. Maybe now that the speculation is over, Tony can get back in Victory Lane.

KB must be dancing in anticipation of taking over the top-dawg spot at JGR.

You need to think before you talk about a owner driver. Richard Petty, 200 wins, 7 cup championships.

Flat, I was surprised to read that Zippy said he was STAYING . Him and Tony have together since the beginning. He knows Tony better than everyone. It will be hard for Tony to find someone he trusts as much as Zippy.. Like u said maybe at the seasons end something changes.

I disagree that this will send Tony down hill. I feel that this is what he needs to get out of the slump that he is in.
