McCain Is No Friend if Social Security

John Mcain supports privatizing Social Security.

John McCain voted to raise the age to get Medicare.

John McCain voted to raid the social security fund.

John McCain voted to NOT protect seniors from higher medicare premiums.

This is an important time in our country your future, health care and security are the matters you are voting on. I respect John McCain, but he has government paid health care and married a rich wife. I'm not that lucky! I have a sick husband and do a public service job. Think before we put another Bush into office.

Could it be some people don't want to pay for other peoples problems. Maybe some would like to choose the charities they support instead of having congress tell them who to support.

The Washington Post has a front page article on Social Security and the porposals made by both candidates. The only plan Obama seems to have is to stick it to a certain portion of the population and he hasn't figured out what more needs to be done. He is pushing for the Global Poverty Act, which will take a lot of our tax dollars and send the out of the country. Why not put those billions into the SS and Medicare trust funds?

From what I get from many of the posts I have read on many different groups is we are supposed to take care of the world too. Sounds all warm and fuzzy, but impossible for us to accomplish.

The global poverty act is commonly and incorrectly seen as some new kind of taxation. It is popular among some conservative blogs and given the tag of yet more evidence of Socialism.

Read the act.
It has nothing to do with taxing anyone. It looks to me like one of those fluff bills that simply require the President to set up some group to develop ideas about how to reduce world poverty.
