Rain again

We've had so much rain in the last two months ...
We've had so much rain in the last two months (well over average) our back yard grass is under water. Which the mosquitos are loving. I still have to let the dogs out but hate to. They prefer to sit on the front porch with us and I can't blame them.

Then we took the doggies to the field and we couldn't let them out there as people were all over the place so we went to the school yard and it was being used to so dogs got a car ride instead. Now it is hot and very humid and supposed to rain again. Yikes. Is it ever going to end?

Hows the weather by you and how are the dogs adapting to it?

Rain can really get to you, being in the Pacific Northwest I can certainly sympathize with you and the pups. Mine hate the rain and soggy ground and good grief, they were all born here, so go figure. Humidity we are having now too, it's hard on everyone. The dogs just lay around but it's not that hot, 75 I think, so it's just what we all get used to and when it changes we get to complain. But really be it known, I'm not complaining, we've actually gone a whole week without rain and it's wonderful. LOL

Oh I'm so sorry, I've heard on the news that PA, OH etc were getting horrible storms and flooding. I'll have to look at a map to see exactly where you are. I hope it does get better back there. What are your summers normally like?

Normally July is hot and humid with little rain, June is usually warm to hot with a little rain, May is usually warm to cold to warm again with a good amount(lots) of rain.. This year may and june were cold and rainy and July started out like that too. Now it is getting hot but the rain just won't quit. We are midwest and having storms daily but not as bad as Ohio and PA. but still my backyard is about an inch under water.

Rain rain go away....! I am in Greensburg in southwestern PA. I think I'm going to start building an Ark! We've NEVER had the problem with mosquitoes that we are having this year. We have a fountain in the back yard and discovered the mosquitoes are loving it! I think I am going to just drain the darn thing. My hubby has cleaned it out several times to no avail...still baby mosquitoes. How they survive the ride through the pump I don't know. My daughters dog is the only one tall enough to reach it, and even though there is always a bowl of fresh water on the porch for when they are out he drinks out of the fountain, my main reason for draining it. The bottom part of our yard is soggy mess also. It's so wet it is almost impossible to cut the grass and when you do the lawn mower leaves ruts.

Meisha already has breathing problems and the humidity, now along with the heat aren't helping any. All of them are getting tired of getting rained on when they have to go out.

Truthfully I'm sick of it. After a while it gets depressing, the gray skies, rain all the time. Since the govt is worried about a water problem I hope they are saving all this rain somewhere!

Good morning hugs to all!

I hear you Holly. We are having a dry day today and hot but I would not be surprised to see rain later tonight. It happened last night.
