Scary Souls

Are there souls out there that you find really scary? People who show you one face and then later you find out that they are something else totally.

I have never run into any real Jeckyl and Hyde personalities however I have seen many people react unpredictability under stress. We all behave differently under extreme stress. Those around us see it clearly and ask themselves "what's up with him" while we many not even know we are acting differently than normal. Also, while not in the scary souls category, I have found many times that when you first meet someone you form an instant view of what you think their expected behavior will be. You may have formed that view through discussions with someone who knew you, your resume, or an interviewers comments. When you get to know them and they turn out differently, you may conclude that they are scary souls when in fact they just did not live up to your expectations. No doubt there are many dangerous, psychotic, and scary people in our mist but I do not know any.

The ones that really scare me are the ones who "know what's good for me". The ones who have some kind of power they can abuse to dominate and control. Not only do they devastate you, but they expect to be thanked for the Jack boot they have on your neck.

I dont know any but I do know some people are just plain evil. Some are born that way....some become that way because of circumstances but, they have to have the potential for evil to begin with.
Most people are just ordinary people trying to get along.

Oh yeas, I have met those types. You wonder if it is just someone who doesn't handle their emotions well or if they have a real psychological problem. I try to stay clear in either case. They always seem to spill over into life of another.

Excellent point. Are you saying kindness is overated?

Especially when the kind gain a side benifit of somehow feeling superior.

People in general scare me because we've learned a new tool to decieve each other. It's called ( SPIN ). People who have the ability to manipulate words to fit there arguement and to cast doubt on another opinion. Example: I say 2 plus 2 equals 4. A spinster would say *of course 2 plus 2 equals 4, but if you remove the 2, it can no longer be equal to 4.
Another example: I hate war. Everybody hates war, but it is necssary to defeat our enemies. The bible says "thou shalt not kill". Well yes the bible does say that, which is why we have to kill people who would kill people to stop them from killing.

My most valuable life lesson came from one of those soul sucking vampires. I had lost a partner (death) and this individual suddenly appeared in my life, told me what I wanted to hear, seemed to fill the void that was within. So she moved in, and the true monster began to appear.

I learned of abuse, and survival, but most important, the need for time to measure a person's words and deeds. By the time I had made all the arrangements to end it without ending up dead or anything, this beast had found another victim and was on her way.

That weekend old friends who had avoided us like the plague came over and together we celebrated a Thank God and Greyhound She's Gone Party. And I breathed my first sigh of relief.

Time is the key, Labrys. Given sufficient time, everyone reveals him/herself.
