Hi!I don't know about fleas outdoors but inside sprinkle The Mule Team Borax on your carpet.Leave 2-3 hours and vacuum.It worked for me.good Luck!
what kind of stuff did you get from the vet?
like everything else ,you get what you pay for,its spendy to get rid of the lil buggers.
years ago we tried a regimit of Hartz brands and others and flea collars not much good untill i tried flea shampoo worked good if you can get them near the stuff,killed the fleas and yes, found out about the eggs they lay.like she said sprinkle with borax or other we use to use diazon untill they outlawed the stuff and vacumm a lot.most of the back stuff is expensive like advantage and frontline but they do work.
i know one year was terrible from hot high humidity summer.
you ought to check with local pet owners.

I don't know what your vet gave you, but I use Frontline Plus on Fluffy's back for 1 or 2 fleas and usually 1 dose does it for the year.
I use Evercide For in and around the home. And Hartz 2 in 1 Rid Flea dog Shampoo.

What worked best for me was to wash my dogs, flea bomb the house and spray the yard all at the same time. That killed all the fleas at once.
Hi, I just went through this very thing about three weeks ago.
I used flea shampoos, flea powders, then the Frontline, and nothing worked. My dog was so broke out, and the fleas were jumping every where.
Finally I went and got 4 boxes of bug bombs, three to a box because I have a large house and set off everyone of them at once.
Then I went back and got more Frontline for all of the dogs and my cat.
When you use bombs make sure you get all of the cans out of the house because my cat found one and licked the left over foam off of it, and she almost died.
That was a trip to the vet late at night and he really charged for it too. Not that I mind paying, it just it should never have happen.

Frontline Plus for dogs and cats every 30 days. Sorry...cats use Advantrix. Any way... that's for when you get the house controlled. We have used flea bombs and they do work, so after the house is in order, then we use the above meds. every month. Rather costly, as there are 5 dogs and 3 cats.
