Carrot Cake

24 years ago I ate some carrot cake that was SO good, I asked for the recipe.

Well today, the cake was finally made.

However, I only grated the carrots and taste tested the batter and let my daughter know when it was done enough. So my question is, am I done procrastinating on this matter since I helped or do I have to do the entire process all by myself for this 20 years of procrastination to be over?

What do you think?

ya know...it sounds like a method my mother used (actually still uses,, even though she hasn't cooked for 10 years)

asking for a recipe is a very nice compliment to the cook, and, in itself is a complete event

contributing to the act of making the cake is also a complete act

taste testing, while was my job, is also a task within itself

the carrot cake is fini

and now, your daughter can make it for you...assisting by taste testing is acceptable

I agree, it can be taken off your to do list. It doesn't matter how it got done, it was done. Delegation is a skill to be proud of.

Just thought I'd let whoever might be wondering know, the cake is/was delicious. It still might be the best carrot cake I've ever eaten.
If you want the recipe, just let me know. I'll share it with you and you too can have the joy of procrastinating over it for 20+ years before finally making it.
Oh yeah, I took pictures of it and will eventually get around to posting them, but don't hold your breath.
