They will be the best pears you ever tasted....when you grow them, they just taste better.
My mouth is watering......mmmmm. Beautiful color, I would also like to know what kind they are.

I am not sure. We bought the tree and it was labeled as a 4 in 1 species but it didn't list the 4 varieties. I assume maybe Danjo ??? One other pear came through it is green so I also guess Bartlett ?? Will show the progress. hope they don't fall off.

Joyce your pear tree is fantastic. Are they hard to grow?
The fruit looks perfect and ready for some good eating. Thanks for sharing.

Just imagine the fruit this tree will bear when it is larger!
I think the pear is a "Seckel". That is probably not spelled right. When first married my EX and I bought an older house. We lived there until 1984. Small, tall and narrow house, on a double wide, very deep city lot. It came with a seckel pear, bartlett pear, peach, 2 apple and apricot fruit trees. Also 5 pine trees and 2 gorgeous maples in the front. Many beautiful flowering bushes and trees, and day lillies. Not one spring bulb though.
We were told one of the pear trees was a seckel and the pears looked just like the ones in your photo. It always had tons of pears... after large extended family picked what they wanted, we still had pears to give to friends.
The soil must have been good.. we put in a large garden, 144 pepper and 144 tomato plants as well as the usual beans, lettuce, squash etc. The garden always did fantastic. Mom and I canned like crazy for about 3 to 4 weeks each year. Gosh, I miss those days.
