I just took a lesson, it is easier than I thought. I have not used mine much, too many other projects.
I have had a serger since 1989 I know this because I usualloy buy sewing machines for my moving present. I currently own two Kenmore (Sears) serrgers. One is threaded with light thread, the other with dark. Although I made many t-shirts and sweatshirts which was the major use of sergers at the time, I now make many many hats out of fleece for charity each year. Having two machines threaded light and dark saves time.
I love them! Best hint - always keep your blades sharpened and the size needle suggested.
