Well good morning, that big of picther of ice tea just called me up on the porch to sit awhile. And just chat about the morning.
Watching the folk passing by and enjoying your company and this ice tea is sure mighty nice. I am also glade I'm retired so I can do it.
Was talking with my seventhteen year old grandson, up and till I didn't know what I was talking about. So I let that conversation along. You know after a certain age the young aint to keen on our smarts. laughing here ha, ha, ha, ha, and that just the ones in their teens, the other ones in their thirty's and forty's are even more funnier.

Good morning Summerrain03. I was over on the other side of the porch blowing bubbles and cheering myself back up after a reply I made about Porches and Porsches.

Msospreywoman, it's wonderful to see you on the porch this fine July morning. Thanks for joining us.

Please make yourself right at home. there is ALWAYS fresh iced tea or lemonade. If I'm to busy to keep it supplied, someone on the porch will make sure it is available.
Please check out the rules in the announcement. There's only one. Other than that, welcome and have a GREAT, GRAND AND GLORIOUS time here on The Front Porch.

Gosh that looks refreshing. Ya'll just sit there on the porch and watch me (over the next several weeks) re-do my pond...liner & all. Now that I'm older, things don't get done quite so fast, so I plan on taking lots of rests on the porch and visitin' a lot!

That tea sure looks good.

That will work Jatfla. You're doing a pond and I'm doing a cane cutting in my yard.

Guess we'd both better bring tea tomorrow!

Goshes! That's looks tasty. I'll have mine without the lemon, but with a piece of that "cane" as a swizzle stick. That should sweeten the brew enough to suit me. Even tho I've lived in the south for a time, I never could hack the intensely sweetened tea the suthen'rs seem to relish.
I'm bettin' that pitcher's not full of somethin' from a screw-top jar n'er one them hur-metallically sealed packets!

When I was in my teen years, my Daddy planted a patch of sugar cane in our back yard. I never did get to try any of it. I miss my Daddy, but he's been dead for nigh on to 30 years now.
Time to go to the other side of the porch again and blow bubbles.

I drink tea all day long and love the lemons. Yep.. we do like our tea "sweet" here in the South. When I have to cut the grass.. I'll stop often and get a tall glass of sweet tea..lemon and a lot of ice.. sit on my porch swing and cool off... then back to cutting the grass.. and more tea.. good excuse for me... see ya!

Sorry to disappoint! That cane is ornamental and it's smothering out a Date Palm. It's pretty but tough stuff to take out. I was thinking maybe a grenade a few minutes ago.

I remember the sugar cane. Granpap always had it on the front porch leaning against the wall in the Fall.
