Front Porches

FRONT PORCHES

This world is not the same ,
on this we must agree.
If houses had front porches,
just how would things be?
Our worlds problems were solved on these,
many a friend was made this way.
Sitting in the swing happy all day,
greeting each person as they passed our way. Sharing the events of our life,
feeling at peace with the world.
Music soft in the air,
if only houses had porches now.

Yes, the world needs more Porsch's. Make mine yellow please. :-)

Seriously though, I think the world would be better off with more Porches and less folks working so hard to live a Porsch lifestyle at the expense of raising a family with decent morals.

Folk left the porch and friends and family to seek after the almighty dollar. But if you don't have anyone to share it with, it gets pretty lonely.
Then the more you get, the more you have to protect yourself so someone else doesn't get what you've worked so hard to get and you're even more isolated.

I miss being able to leave doors unlocked. I miss being able to trust people at their word. I miss old fashioned values being the norm. ~sigh~

I think I'll go blow bubbles on the other side of the porch now and cheer myself back up. Anybody want to blow bubbles with me?

What a wonderful world this would
be if all the houses had front porches!
