Blowing Bubbles

My grandkids have been blowing bubbles these days and it brought back how much fun I use to have with bubbles. While I was in Wal-Mart the other day a bottle of the "MIRACLE BUBBLES" just blew right into my basket. Today I was outside and letting my "child within" have a little fun. When I put the lid back on the bottle, the little girl inside me, smiled and said thank you.

Do any of you still play with something you use to as a child. Jacks, bubbles, read an old story book just for your own pleasure?

I like to color in coloring books. Being I have 6 grandchildren, I have plenty of books and crayons around.

I have my own bubble machine,it's a Sylvester the Cat. Bought it at a flea market..just for fun and use it.
I love to color too. When the kids were out of school and I was on vacation (from work),we would color away. Still like to do that, very relaxing. Sorry to say,not as many good coloring books as in the past.

I still play with dolls, and I have coloring books and crayons and color pencils, I find coloring relaxing, when I have some time I sometimes dig them out and color while I watch TV.

Reading all your replies made me feel like we were a bunch of little kids together just playing away.

I'll bring my coloring books and crayons, too.

And my jacks. Love playing jacks. Still have my own set. I've forgotten some of the different games we played with jacks.

The ones and on through until the 10's. And at the end of every round always held all the jacks in my hand throw the ball in the air drag my finger back and forth on the floor and grab the ball. Always signaled the end of that round.

Then "around the world," "double-bounce."

Can any of you think of other games after these?

I think I'll change my mind and not give an answer.
I used to play with the idea of keeping my mouth shut as a child...but haven't practiced that in years.

Oh boy!! Coloring books, finger paints, bubbles ( I bought 2 airplane bubble blowers for the grandsons years ago. I take them to the ball games for the little ones to play with...after I had my turn of course). I have a book from when I was a kid called "Uncle Arthur's Storytime", I love to read those stories over & over again. I love to cut out stuff from construction paper too. Make a lot of holiday cut-outs for the windows for the gkids. I guess we never grow up, huh????
