McCain Proposes Tax Holiday for Beer Heiresses

Says Brewery Scions Could Lead Economic Revival

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain unveiled details of his economic policy today, telling an audience in Ohio that if elected he would support a real estate tax holiday for beer heiresses.

Sen. McCain said that his tax holiday plan could lead to a revival for the U.S. economy, arguing, "The key to this country's economic well-being has been and will always be those Americans with vast inherited brewery wealth."

The Arizona senator took great pains to indicate that the tax holiday would not be available to all brewery heiresses, "Just those with a net worth of over 100 million dollars."

"In the late 1990s, Borowitz began e-mailing humorous fake news stories to friends. In 2001, he founded The Borowitz Report, a site that posts one 250-word satirical column every weekday. The site led to greater fame and widespread attention for Borowitz as a political satirist. The Wall Street Journal devoted a page one story to him and his site in 2003 and readership ultimately grew to 500,000 daily subscribers. In 2005 the newspaper syndicator Creators Syndicate began syndicating The Borowitz Report to dozens of major newspapers including The Los Angeles Times, The Seattle Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. It is also one of the longest-running features at the Newsweek website. He has served as a commentator on the National Public Radio programs Weekend Edition Sunday and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, the latter on November 12, 2006. In 2007 he started blogging for the progressive blog The Huffington Post. His posts were featured on the home page of the blog and quickly became one of its most popular features."

This post is a disgrace. Is it the purpose of the Obama crowd to flood this group with fake (so-called humor) posts. I know I have better ways to spend my Sunday evenings than dealing with idiots.

Poor mejk, who has "better ways to spend my Sunday evenings than dealing with idiots."

Maybe some time away from this site, or even off the internet entirely might help rebalance your chakras. I'd suggest actually stepping outside to hug a tree but fear that may offend your Republican sensibilities. Maybe you could hug a telephone/electricity pole instead?

Experts have said that the summer tax holiday would not work. First it would deprive us of tax money for infrastructure and would only save the average person a few dollars. Since Summer is about half gone and surely would be have been half over by the time such a bill is passed and signed and then implemented.

It is merely because Mr. McCain is out of touch with reality.
