'We' are not a minstrel show!

Never thought I would have to say this, but, language from the era of Jim Crow and the clsn snd segregation should never see the light of day on this posting page! Because we are such an active group, with many postings coming in every day, the offensively posted title has long been pushed off our site, but please remember that we seek real conversation--with civility. We are not here for 'shock' value or to embarrass or ridicule public figures or other group members ( and especially with crude or vulgar language from the dark side of American' history. Our group has been overwhelmingly successaful at keeping to the true spirit of PFAAA, but the 1% of our failures will not be allowed to continue without rebuke !

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Not for the deletion (your forum; your choice) but for being the ONLY person who found this unacceptable.

It would be nice if the group could also ratchet down on the “EVIL!” and “zealot” hysteria. If you don't like Obama, give us a calm, thoughtful and well-researched reason. Name calling is childish even when it isn't racist.

I would have posted earlier in agreement, but the tears of laughter in my eyes from the postings by Byrd and the Mommas kept me from seeing the keyboard. But I agree to watch my colorful language to insure obsenity or vulgarity do not creep in.

In that vein, what would the Chair say about terms such as McBush, Hussein or Krotch Klinton? Yer guidelines, please?

Dear Rock
The problem with the title was the use of universally known racist terminology! Rather then asking just how vulgar one csn get without getting into 'trouble' why not try to make efforts for dicussion enlightened and purposeful? Hey, No one is as critical of Obama as I am, but, I have yet to try and convince people of his not being presidential material by making reference to his big ears, etc.! Back when I was 15, I used to criticise Lyndon Johnson by complaining about how his wife used to abuse white housae helicopter privileges. Yes, quite stupid on my part, but I was an inmature teen. Lets try to be more mature snd not go for the cheap shot so readily

No stem11 is right this is not a minstrel show, it has gotten that way in the last week or so from some new members, and I am tired of people trying to force Obama down my throat. And yes, there are MANY great Americans' in this group. I see how this goes, you want it like Burger King to those who have answered this thread. You want it all your way! Sorry, but you new people are not the only people in this group.

Wait one damn minute.
How is it possible that me, a bleeding-heart liberal, finds profound respect in comments by a self-described rock-hard conservative? What is the world coming to?

I don't like Obama and I see no reason why I owe anyone an explanation and would like you to respect my thought on the subject. Since when can't people have there own thoughts and it is called ridicule.
