And no, I'm not talking about OBAMA! I'm talking about the other side. Seems Mr. McCain's pick has caused quite a stir. Some are with them. Some are against them, but mainly, what I see, is that McCain has become invisible and Sarah Palin seems to be running for president.
Does anyone else see that?
Folks are angry all over the map. Women who call themselves feminists are mad because other women are putting Sarah down.
Men are talking about her tits, for God's sake. She's certainly more than a pair of tits.
Other women are mad because Ms. Palin is a very right-wing woman who stands for life and family, etc, etc, but some want to question the real moral fortitude behind all that based on situations in her family.
Me? I'm angry because she seems to be floating on a layer of non-achievement AND she has completely stolen the show from McCain. HE is the one who is running for president.
There's a new group on eons called "Send Sarah Palin to Washington" and on the front page they state the following,
Women: This is our only chance to put a woman in the White House NOW.
Don't allow our differences to divide us AGAIN or it may be another couple of decades before we break that glass ceiling!
Support Sarah Palin for Vice President of the United States and send Sarah to Washington.
Now, I ask you... our "only chance to put a woman in the White House"... is that a little absurd? Or what?
If you want to support someone, well, I dare say that America's women haven't fought long and hard for equality just to see someone like Sarah Palin, really, an anathema to women's rights, be elected BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN.
And guess what... If you like Sarah Palin, just because she is a woman? You'd damn well better REALLY like John McCain too.
