Up late...
and it looks as if this flower has already produced its seeds!
I may be wrong but it will probably turn brown in the next
day or two. See those little furry oval shapes?
Do let me know, and if it does, collect the whole head and spread
the seeds in the soil next fall or if you're in the North-next spring!

OPK, you are SOOOOO right. This is the beginning of the end, as I walked by tonight I noticed this bloom was indeed turning (as you predicted) brown.... so I had this whole scene backwards. Thanks for keeping me on the straight & narrow!!
