A full Face mask works for me!

I have been using a cpap and now a bipap for several years now.
I started out with several different masks just covering the nose, that didnt work to well
; when sleeping I am a mouth breather; so I tried a harness to strap my mouth shut
that did not work well.
Now I am using a full face mask a " ResMed Mirage Quatro" This works well for me
but the adjustment of the straps makes quite a difference in the fit and leakage.
If adjusted correctly the loudest noise is the bipap and it is muffled where I have it sitting.

its good for me.

Hi Myril,
Doyle here,
i too am a mouth breather, that must be the same that i am using. the full face is confusing to me because years ago we had half mask in some of the work i did and its bigger than these masks.mine is a res med too and has the forhead straps and mouthpiece straps.this is all different to me.
good to hear that you are adjusted to it,i still feel like Darth Vader, but thats better than being "other" too.
i see you lived in Forest Grove, thats pretty place at least out of the bigger towns.i am between Corvallis and Newport out of Siletz.

Me too. I just feel safer with the full mask and yes, I too, feel like Darth Vader. I am taking mine back Monday for a check. I think I have washed the poor thing to death. I will say that life is pretty exciting now that I am awake to see it.

I have the same thing and mine was giving me some problems. I did go and get a new one today. They say to change them every three to six months. How often do you all change yours?
These little things are incredibly expensive and while I know that the insurance pays for most, I cringe at the prices. I sure want it to work properly thouogh. It means so much to my quality of life.
