Interestingly, this is n-o-t a breed from Australia!
~ They originated in California during the 1900s
although their ancestors are sheepdogs from
New Zealand and Australia.

{ Before adopting our first darling Sheltie *Emily*
we had briefly considered a sweet little tricolor
Miniature Australian Shepherd instead }
