Intellectuals

Does it take open-mindedness to be a true intellectual, or can the close-minded attain an equal level of knowledge?

Terrorism Clarified

Right wing extremists Mark Chryson, former chair of the Alaska Independence Party, and his friend Steve Soll “not only contributed to Palin’s campaign financially, they played major behind-the-scenes roles in the Palin camp before, during and after her victory.”

“Palin backed Chryson as he successfully advanced a host of anti-tax, pro-gun initiatives, including one that altered the state Constitution’s language to better facilitate the formation of anti-government militias. She joined in their vendetta against several local officials they disliked, and listened to their advice about hiring. She attempted to name Stoll, a John Birch Society activist known in the Mat-Su Valley as “Black Helicopter Steve,” to an empty Wasilla City Council seat.”

NOTE: ANTI-GOVERNMENT MILITIAS

The AIP was founded by ““Old Joe” Vogler, a hard-bitten former gold miner who hated the government of the United States almost as much as he hated wolves and environmentalists. His resentment peaked during the early 1970s when the federal government began installing Alaska’s oil and gas pipeline.”

NOTE: HE WAS ANGERED BY THE VERY THING KLONDIKE BARBIE SUPPORTS

“ With sponsorship from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Vogler was scheduled to present his case for Alaskan secession before the United Nations General Assembly in the late spring of 1993. But before he could, Old Joe’s long, strange political career ended tragically that May when he was murdered by a fellow secessionist.”

NOTE: ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN, THE SAME NATION-STATE THAT BUSH IS RUMORED TO WANT TO BOMB, THAT MCC SANG ABOUT, THAT IS A JOUSTING PARTNER.

NOTE: NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY THE REPUBS MAKE AN ISSUE OF OBAMA’S MIDDLE NAME? WHO ARE THE REPUBS IN BED WITH?

“Chryson maintains that his party remains committed to full independence. “The Alaskan Independence Party has got links to almost every independence-minded movement in the world,” Chryson exclaimed. “And Alaska is not the only place that’s about separation. There’s at least 30 different states that are talking about some type of separation from the United States.”

NOTE: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE STATES?

“Another far-right organization with whom the AIP has long been aligned is Howard Phillips’ militia-minded Constitution Party. The AIP has been listed as the Constitution Party’s state affiliate since the late 1990s, and it has endorsed the Constitution Party’s presidential candidates (Michael Peroutka and Chuck Baldwin) in the past two elections.”

NOTE: MILITIA IS MENTIONED AGAIN

I'M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY (1949) ~ Hank Williams

This song caught my eye because it was written and recorded in the year I was born! Almost 60 years ago. ~KK

A Message From Your Cassandraic Overseer

Folks, I admit that in spite fo my tireless attempts to warn of the danger in the occurance, in all probability Obama will become the next President of the United States. As a Negro and as a caring American, I, of course, wish him well. But bear this in maind. Write it down for future reference:

The Obamas, sans a November suprise as last seen with the election of Harry Truman; when installed as the new residents of the White House, will indeed represent a turn of the page in American History that I, like most Negroes in the United States have wanted very much to be alive to witness. But again, I ask you to mark my words: this particular couple will not prove to be an asset to the political or social promise of our country.

It is not just that Obama is a seriously limited neophyte in the workings of Presidential policy or function; Though this of course is a truely dangerous deficit. But most importantly, because he will be unable to ward off presures to conform to the notions, (largely self serving) of most of those who have contributed to his advancement. Both by boosting his ego and his election purse.

The tangled knot of problems that are now confronting America, domestically and internationally, are beyond the ability of Obama and/or those whom he will feel obligated to have form his cabinet possess. I do not know who, in the current state of derth in intelligent and able Americans; we could put forward to take on this collosal state of dysmal affairs; but it is not the time for an egotistical neophyte; be he or she black or white.

All I can say at this point, with all my Agnostic ardor, is GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOME. I am ready to cry a river on Election Day.
