Hi all...we did this game last year and had some fun. Let's list all the "halloween" things we can find in ABC order.
Put your thinking caps on! I'll start in first reply.

Warehouse Store Shopping Tips

I don't know if it is cost effective to shop in a warehouse store like Costco or Sam's but I think it is probably "not an all or none" situation. These tips may help us out...

Proximity is Important

The first decision to make is if the warehouse store is convenient and a store you will frequent on a normal basis. If it isn't, the annual fee may not be worth the savings you will get from shopping there. To justify the annual fee you will need to spend at least $250 before you can benefit from there versus shopping in regular stores.

Come Prepared

Do your product researches before you go to the store. This is a good idea regardless of where you shop but in warehouse stores the sales personnel generally are not going to be product experts. This is not to say they cannot accommodate you in other areas but do not depend on them for product feedback.

SNEAKY

Thought I would share this with you all. In our local paper Lufkin Daily News, this woman told a story that amazes me, but then again it should not. This past weekend she got a cell call from an Obama campaign person. She told them that she was Republican and could not vote for someone who supported partial birth abortion and allowing newborn babies to die on the table. Well lo and behold Monday morning two secret service agents were beating on her door saying she made death threats to Obama through this campaign lady. The conversation was NOT recorded and she talked with the Secret Service and explained. They were going to arrest here, but now she is thinking of bringing suit to Mr. O. Is that not just like something he would pull? Cay

Challenge: The Eyes Have It, Oct. 5 - 11

Challenge starting Sunday/Oct. 5 thru Saturday/Oct. 11 is eyes.

Challenge photos should be placed in the group gallery in an album created by the poster. This is the easiest way to see if you’ve already used your entry. It’s also the best way to view all the fabulous shots submitted by our group members!

• The challenge topic must clearly be the main subject of the photo.
• Please include a short description with your entry.
• Normal post-processing is ok, but adding ‘effects’ to meet the challenge isn’t allowed.
• You’re welcome to enter a challenge more than once, but please limit *consecutive* postings to no more than 3 photos at a time.
• If for some reason (except laziness!) you can't get out to take fresh photos, you can use archived photos.
Once a photo has been entered in any challenge, it may not be entered in any other challenge: one-time entry per photo, please don’t reuse something we’ve already seen : )

Post your masterpiece or lucky shot in the reply! little green smiley with camera

Word Chain

1.In this game the 1st person posts a word.

2. The 2nd person must use 2 or 3 consecutive letters from the above word in a new word .

3.The next person must use 2 or 3 consecutive letters from the second word in the next word.
..and so forth.

* The 2 or 3 consecutive letters may be from the beginning, middle, or end of the above word.

* Capitalize the 2 or 3 letters you use in your new word to show how you have linked to the above word.

Sound confusing? It really isn't I'll do the first few to get us started.

McCain Votes Protect Domestic Terrorists

"... McCain has repeatedly voted against protecting Americans from domestic terrorists in the anti-choice movement. On multiple occasions throughout his career, McCain sought to limit the government’s ability to punish violent anti-choice fanatics by:

– Voting against making anti-choice violence a federal crime. As the Jed Report notes, McCain voted in 1993 and 1994 against making “bombings, arson and blockades at abortion clinics, and shootings and threats of violence against doctors and nurses who perform abortions” federal crimes.

– Opposing Colorado’s “Bubble Law.” McCain said he opposed Colorado’s “Bubble Law,” which prohibited abortion protesters from getting within 8 feet of women entering clinics [Denver Post, 2/27/00]. The law was later upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

– Voting to allow those fined for violence at clinics to avoid penalties by declaring bankruptcy. NARAL Pro-Chioce America notes that McCain “voted to allow perpetrators of violence or harassment at reproductive-health clinics to avoid paying the fines assessed against them for their illegal acts by declaring bankruptcy.”
