Filters and Fireworks

I know this should be obvious - but I'll be the dummy and ask anyway :)

I do not want the Polarizing filter on for the fireworks tonight, correct?

I was just doing some camera setup and finally sorted out how to put it on the bulb setting (amazing what things you can find out when you take the time to read :)

I do have a remote for my 350D so that will help - and I just tried it out to ensure that it works.

So, I think I'm ready - but only time will tell. I get nervous on occasions like this when you only have one shot at getting images and you're trying out new things.

I wish us all luck tonight and I hope you're enjoying your 4th of July. I'm about to go out and work on cleaning up/painting part of the house.

Hi Ken
I posted a tutorial about taking photos of fireworks -- view link There's no mention made of using any type of filter, so I don't think I'd use one. I think going over the tutorial will be reassuring, since you sound like you already know what to do :) But there are a few tips there that I probably wouldn't have thought of ahead of time, so it's worth taking 5 minutes to refresh the old noggin, lol!
