Mid-summer Festivals !!

I'm lucky enough this year to spend my 4th of July with good company [a photo-buff - I hope we get some good shots], and view New Mexico's largest fireworks display in the State at Elephant Butte Reservoir and State Park [also the largest lake in the State]. For all you retirees and vacationers out there, this is a great place to be [especially in Winter -- I can vouch for THAT, after the past 7 months I've had here]. There's events coming up in the Fall, too. You might like reading about these, and come visit and participate!

That's a good collection of info, Mitzi. Some of it I didn't even know, and I've been going there for years.

By the way, I thought I saw you there riding your scooter, as we were coming in Tuesday afternoon. I waved, but I'm sure you wouldn't have known me from Adam, since we've never met. Unfortunately we didn't have internet access, and didn't venture out into the weekend craziness in search of it.

I agree with you that it's a great place to spend some time.
