it is an association for performance touring riders. the easiest ride to get certified on is 1k miles in under 24 hours or 1.5k in under 36 hours. think of the movie "vanishing point" on the serious side or the "gumball rally" on the comic side. the IBA reminds me of the old brock yates annual "cannonball baker sea to shining sea run" from new york to long beach with the shortest elapased time being the winner. now if i could only get my elderly parents to move 13 miles north of their present location all of my runs to indy would count!!!!!!!! speaking of which one more week and we are outta here!!!! this is the year i lower my 14 hour record to 11 hours lol!!!!!

rbstone mentioned it in the travel guide. Also i heard the term b-4. I did not know however that there was an actual organization!
I would love to try and do an iron butt ride, but not alone. Riding that far alone is BOOORRRING!!
Goldy the longer the ride the more you need to be right in your head .I find as long as I say goodby at the start an go someplace the someone will say hello I can enjoy the ride. But then again I'm told I'm not normal [what ever that is ]
Distractions! Normal is boring!
