Stealther - Firefox 3.0 Add-On

OK, we all know what trouble we can get into browser blithely among the internet's more dubious offerings. There is a little FireFox 3.0 add on that might mean more safety. Not sure. It says:

Stealther temporarily disables all information storing while browsing like, Browsing history, Cookies, Downloaded Files History, Disk Cache, Saved Form Information, Sending of Referrer Header, and recently closed tabs list.

The best thing about this add-on is that it just disables from the moment you turn on till you turn off. All the information you had stored before would be still available like frequently visited web sites etc.

The link is to an article and download for the Stealther app. at Lyatebyte.com.

I know this is a back-handed way of telling you how you can surf the porn sites while at work and have nobody ever know, but I was wondering if it would be useful for us good citizens in general to keep our spam down.

Marti,

thanks for the hint.......

Turning off and on your history and cookies options, whether you use a Firefox add-on, or do it the old fashioned way (clearing them out in the Tools options of your browsers of choice), its a good thing to not permit those little buggers from planting themselves on your computer if you're not sure of the website you're at.

There's no way in the world that Stealther would prevent your boss from knowing what web sites you visited.
