Dreams

Been having some really wierd dreams lately. I know a lot of it is my meds. But I think some of it is the way I sleep. sometimes I think the position I sleep in cuts off my oxygen supply. I had a sleep study done, but nothing showed. But who in the heck can get into a good sleep in those places? They wake you up every time you turn around. I couldn't get into a good sleep. Also, use to having hubby next to me.
Sometimes when I am feeling really stressed I walk in my sleep. But I can goo for a long time without walking and then bam walking.
Anywho, does anyone else have wierd dreams and what was your strangest? Hugs, Irish

Irish, I have weird dreams, but can't remember any now. Sometimes I have the same dream over again. Used to sleepwalk as a child but not now. I have always been one to have dreams.

Think some people just dream more than others. My husband said he never had dreams. Who knows?

I don't try to interpret them, I just take them as part of living.

You want a weird dream? In my late 30's I had very long hair. One night I made a pallet directly in front of the TV to watch a late movie. I pulled my hair back and over the pillow I was laying on and, of course, fell asleep. Dream: I'm sitting in a chair at my hairdresser. She is combing my hair with a very sharp-toothed comb and then she starts teasing my hair. She's making it bigger and poofier. I keep saying, "Stop now. You're making me look like a country singer." She keeps teasing it, I try to get out of the chair and she's holding me buy my hair and teasing it harder! I wake up and I'm sitting up in the middle of the floor and my kitten is entangled in my hair fighting to get out! Wide awake now, I have to hold onto the yowling cat who is still fighting to get untangled. The wide-awake part: the cat is panicked and is drawing blood! I have to hold her as far away from my scalp and face as I can, get to a mirror and start untangling her. OMG! It took ten minutes to get her out and my hair looked like an explosion in a mattress factory. My hands, arms and scalp were all bleeding. Had to pour peroxide on my head and stand in the shower with my hair saturated in conditioner to work all the tangles out! You better believe I started braiding my hair before I went to bed after that nightmare. LOL!!

I sleepwalked as a child. No longer tho.
I do at times have vivid dreams. When I have them, it is usually a period of stress and the dream will be a stressful dream. I sometimes imagine I am still working as a Nurse & I can't find the right meds or the right patient. For some reason I am way behind & all flustered.
I also have had dreams that my teeth are falling out!
Once in a while I have a good dream & that is usually about some strange man that I do not know who is in love with me & I am so in love with him. Then I wake up. Haha. That is when I don't want to wake up.
The funny thing is I am happily married.
Sometimes I will wake up & remember the dream & tell my husband bits & pieces & it will relate to actual things in life, just don't make any sense the way it is in the dream.
I will think I am a Mom with a young baby & yet, my baby is 31.

At least some of these dreams were based in reality. I used to have 2 recurring dreams until I started on Ambien every night.

1. It's morning. I wake up and look out my bedroom window to see if my paper has been delivered in my driveway. Instead of the newspaper, the front of my driveway is covered in big limbs and even a tree trunk or two, plus one of the neighbor's cars is blocking the curb cut. I am boxed in the house. When I DID wake up for real, I went to the window to see if my neighbors had done this during the night. Needless to say, they didn't.

2. I'm sleeping and hear a noise and see a bright light outside. I look out the window and see this very odd looking airplane hovering in my neighborhood, kind of like the transports you see in sci-fi movies. It stays there for a little while and then, whoosh, flies away super, super fast. I learn later in the day at work (I worked for the government - the only REAL part of this) that they were testing a new type of aircraft/transport vehicle overnight and I saw it in action.

3. This one is more reality-based. My friends and I went to see one of the Star Wars movies, the original ones. That night, or a night or two later, I dreamt that Darth Vader was stalking me. I could hear him breathing. I woke up terrified, again another real part, and sat there and listened for him before I turned on the light on my night stand.
