humans further evolving

let us say that homo sapians continued up the evolutionary process and became homo ssapians sapians, or man that knows that he knows, what different traits would this species have that would offer the species a better chance of surviving (or living a better life?

A sense of decency and fairplay? That would be evolving for some.

A better ability to use logic.

I believe that question was resolved around 30,000 years Ago.

Den, I respectfully disagree. Evolutionarily speaking nothing is ever finally resolved until a species goes extinct.

Your right and that is what I was referring to an extinct spices. N-Man.

Note: life 30,000 years ago when Neanderthal humans, our closest extinct ancestor lived they became suddenly extinct 28,ooo years ago. i hope we have come further then they. We at least have better clothes and hugiene. I wonder if somehow our next development would be along the lines of lessening the genetic disposition humans have for aggression?

I agree that an evolutionary step up would be to lose the war-like tendencies, and desire to kill each other.

But also, how about an ever-increasing ability to use ESP functions, such as telephathy, telekinesis, remote viewing, precognition, clairvoyance, and even out-of-body experiences, known as astral travel?

Some say we used to have these but lost them. And the out-of-body experiences I have had didn't have anything to do with ESP, but that's something else altogether. LOL

First, evolution is not a process of refinement, a chip here or a chip there, it is more complex. Nor does a evolution change occur to the better in every instance, that is, in nature. Natural evolution is based on random occurrences that are ratified by existence, better ones are spared, lesser ones may or may not, depending on whether those that have the change can reproduce and survive.

However, we are about to enter a new paradigm of evolution with our growing ability to engineer change genetically without the use of a random process overtime.

We, we humans, soon will be capable of sudden and radical introduction of change of our own gene type. And to coin a phrase, god only knows what we are going to do with it.

Ah the age old desire to kill someone, or more correctly put WE want your resources, so WE will take them.

When did all this start anyway, I believe it had to do with civilizations city building. Gone were the days of hunter-gathers, working in common for food.

Oh yea those gene slicing is going everywhere at once. As the old saying says a sword has two edges, cuts both ways.

I haven't read other replies, so I may repeat myself. I think any successful mutations/evolving done by our species has happened in such a way that they aren't too noticable by the "regular" members of our species. I would think that this would include skills at clairvoyance, telekinesis, etc.

I have had the experience years ago of having my brain "scanned and dismissed" is how I think of it, and it was quite unsettling. I seem to have a bit of a gift for sending signals, but not receiving them. I have several times sent vivid "picture" images to people dear to me but not within earshot.

So I personally believe within our midst are those who have incredible skills, but have them quietly to avoid attack or ensnarement by authorities. I can't blame them at all!
