Patience is a Virtue

When I’m impatient, I know it’s because I don’t want to take the time to learn the lesson at hand. I want it done now. Has this feeling ever happened to you?

I once heard, “Instant gratification is not soon enough.” There’s always something to learn, something to know. Patience is being at peace with the process of life, knowing that everything happens in the perfect time/space sequence. If I’m not having completion now, then there’s something more for me to know.

Being impatient doesn’t speed up the process; it only wastes time. So breathe, go within, and ask, “What is it I need to know?” Then patiently wait to receive the help that is all around you.

ALL IS WELL. I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED NOW.

Your instant gratification is not soon enough" reminds me of my favorite, "Lord, give me patience, and give it to me now!" Although I've certainly had other issues along the way, I've rarely been impatient. Even so, this serves as a good reinforcement.

On the lighter side... I have fun with sharing how having patience is a virtue ... which makes me a virtuous woman! Yes ... I like the sound of it. Try it ... it's fun!

So the next time you find your patience being stretched... quickly interrupt and say, "I AM A VIRTUOUS WOMAN! ... Yes, I am"

How true! -but, one has to learn how to practice patience.
.....and I'm still learning.....

“Don't wish me happiness-I don't expect to be happy it's gotten beyond that, somehow. Wish me courage and strength and a sense of humor-I will need them all.”
- Anne Morrow Lindbergh [what a great quote]

Matthieu Richard - Monk, author, photographer is called the happiest man in the world.... Please look him up on "TED.com"
I wanted to know his "Secret" and I read up on him.
He is an amazing man.
Reading his biography - one would say he gave up all........ only to gain "everything".in return.
---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- --------------------------
I'm taking "Glenda's contagious "Smiles" and pass them on..... Always have a positive thought and a smile in your pocket - it works wonders [for you] and the people the Universe sends in your daily path.
Have a great weekend,

A Great Day to all...
A few thoughts ..

Life is an accumulation of baby steps ... as we experience even a moment where we choose to be patient (being impatient is me believing my needs are exclusively more important) and we smile to ourselves and say, yep that's true, I am a virtuous woman/man we feel better.

Life is about learning and practicing and allowing ourselves to enjoy the fun, the lightness and joy.

Coming from being a perfectionist and a white-knuckled control freak without patience ... my little mantra and the baby steps continued me to move towards being more patient, compassionate and loving of myself and others ...

Great posts, Wowzers!

I always fall back on The Serenity Prayer - God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
This helps to remind me to have patience.
