Hi Gang,

Just home from a week in hospital with bi-lateral pneumonia. Looks like a lengthy recuperation ahead but I felt well enough to read a few e-mails this afternoon and thought you would find a smile in an e-mail from an old BBQ friend back in Missouri:

A preoccupied vegan named Hugh
picked up the wrong sandwich to chew.
He took a big bite
before spitting, in fright,
"OMG, WTF, BBQ!"

Well my friend, you had better take it slow for the next few weeks. Nasty stuff, that pnuemonia. I wish you a speedy recovery. Glad your back with us too!

Well pardner, if I was nearby I’d nurse you to health with Yukon Jack until such time as these vodka cherries get done.

TB’s got me on a strict schedule about taste testing these things. I only get to sample one a month ‘til they are fully seasoned.

I’m fearful they might go bad on us and we won’t know unless maybe I check ‘em at least weekly. I started out want’in to test ‘em daily, but go no where with that. I thought weekly was good, but TB didn’t.

So I take no fault in it if’n some’um goes sour on us.

But Yukon Jack has legs enough to stand on its own.
