SINGLE MINDEDNESS OR NARROW MINDEDNESS
What happens if we all just believed everyone was right and all religions get you to God?
Apparently they must believe Jesus was a liar, or mistaken, when he said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father but by me.” I am appalled over a newly published survey by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. It states most Americans believe there are many ways to salvation besides their own faith. Most horrifying of all are the majority of self-identified evangelical Christians who believe this. This is a product of a variety of things. Mainly it is a product of biblical illiteracy by people who fail to read, or selectively read Scripture. It is also a result of the political correctness position that says you are intolerant if you believe anything to be true, because people who have another truth or no truth might feel bad.
This is a case of narrow mindedness verses single mindedness!
Jesus was so fixed on His purpose and mission to save mankind that it was to the exclusion of all else! This is single mindedness! Just like a great athlete who is fixed on the prize to the exclusion of all else and will tolerate no one who will deprive him of that prize! We admire this even in the work place when great things are accomplished because of the focus and dedication of the management and staff. But when one is focused on the truth and calls it as they see it, they are labeled as narrow minded. Narrow minded is when a person is focused on something to the determent of others and or themselves! The TRUTH is never detrimental to anyone!
Now I know you may be offended but I cannot offend anyone. You can choose to be offended it is your choice! Note I did not say that you can not be hurt but offense is something you choose to be and do!
