Another Greyhound lover

We've had dogs all our lives ( we've been married 53 years)
the dogs were all much loved pets. Then we decided to adopt a greyhound. Some how they elevate themselves from pet to family member with no effort on thier part. "Pryor is our second greyhound. We lost "Libby" after 9 wonderful years and the void in our lives was so heartbraking that we
adopted "Pryor" four years ago. It took him less than a week to assume his role as king of the household. God bless
Greyhounds, what would we do without them ?

Our greyhound, Skip, is 13+ years old. He is almost blind and does not hear well, but he gets the urge to run and has a healthy appetite. We hope he keeps on trucking for a while yet. We are taking him to the vet this week for his yearly check up. It is so difficult to lose a pet. They are an important member of the family, I feel. I feel greyhounds are very spiritual dogs and are so sweet. Thanks for sharing.
