New Diet

Doctor tell's me I need to
lose a few pounds, How do I
do that I asks?
Cut Back On Carbs, He Says!
Carbs?? Bread for one thing!
OK!
Now I'm a man who loves Taco Bell!
So here I am sitting with my Taco!
I gently pull the edges apart
with my finger tips,
Then Begin to nibble the
pieces of Tomatoes on top,
After that I slowly suck the
sour cream and cheese, But hate
the stringy lettuce so I pick
that off my tongue and flip it away!
AHHHHH...Now I'm down to the
GOOD STUFF!
With reckless abandon
I lower my face into it
and lick the juicy meat
till the shell is clean!
Leaning back with a sigh
I must say, It ain't
very filling, But strangely
this diet thing is very
Satisfying.........

A LITTLE ABOUT ME NOW YOU!
Vitriol ad nauseam
Is it my imagination or with every point slip in the polls by McCain/Palin are there more furry rodents coming out of the woodwork to spread halftruths and outright lies about Obama. I'm beginning to think that everyone should have to take a short Civics test before being allowed to vote Nov.4.
I can come up with a short list of say,5 questions you must answer.
1) What Nationality is Barack Obama?
2)Has there ever been a confirmed link associating Barack Obama with terrorists?
3)Is Barack OBAMA Muslim?
4)Do you want to repeat the last 8 years?
5)Can you in good faith, vote for a black man?
If you answer any one of these questions wrong you forego your right to vote this year because you are an idiot.
Correct Answers:
1)US Citizen
2)No
3)No
4)No
5)Yes

Howdy Saturday nighters!
OMG, it's so good to have a computer. My neighbor lent me her laptop for today and tomorrow.
After that, I'll be puterless again until I get to Kansas around the 25th or so.
I was sitting on my couch and had just turned to weather channel to see where the storm was heading, when a gigantic boom hit. It knocked me right off the couch onto my ass on the floor, that's how loud it was. Scared the sh*t outta me. My TV went out and I ran into the computer room and saw all kinds of hallucinogenic colors. I turned it off, but it was too late...it's dead too. Then I started noticing it was getting hot, and I went to the thermostat which is digital and it was blank...no air!
Then I pick up the phone to call the cable company and my phones were dead.
Am I happy to be leaving Florida? Oh hell yes!!! But it had to give me one more kick in the ass.
The ac was not covered for lightening. I don't think anything here is, but I will call my home insurance company on Monday and see if anything can be reimbursed.
So, I'm here for the weekend. :-)

Shop at Goodwill??
Sometimes I feel like I embarrass my husband when I buy things from Goodwill, but I have to tell ya'll; I had a great day there!
I really hate to shop. No one has my style. I'm more preppy and tailored in my choices and there is no such things at our Malls. When my SIL first told me she got a blouse there, I couldn't believe it. But one day, just for the heck of it, I checked ours out.
Well, today I hit the jackpot. Not only was I in the mood to get some *new* jeans...I needed them! I found 3 pairs of perfect, perfectly-fitting jeans, one cardigan sweater (love them), one white long-sleeved sorta T-shirt, a red dress-up sweater and one red linen blouse....for $30.00. I did change the buttons on the blouse and bought shoulder pads for all and need to hem one pair of jeans. But I am soooo happy with my day's shopping. Now, maybe I won't have to go for anything until next year!
