My Moderators and friends

Hope you all will enjoy the group, and posting.
I want to thank my moderators, Teapotblessings, Daheart,
Ohkela for supporting me in this endeavor. I think each and everyone of them will bring their own diverse flavor to the group. My friends Starrybright, Moonshine, who happens to live in Holland, and Grandmawinnie, and gloria54, will share their own diverse cultures to the group. I think it will be fun, and a place where we can just come for culture diversity and who knows what.
So sit back enjoy..............

Answer & Ask...

This idea came from another group manager who is doing the same in her group with much success. It sounded like fun, so I thought we'd try it. Basically, I will ask the first question, and the first person to reply will answer my question and ask one of their own. Kind of like 20 questions, but one at a time. Strictly small talk, basically one-liners, try to keep it fun. It would be easy to get off track if we all jumped on the same post, but let's see how it goes. OK, here's the first question:

Are you a morning person or night person?

Tired

Do you ever have those days where you just want to be left alone and feel so tired?
I had one today. I got up and went to work but I was just dragging myself around. I told my boss I wasn't feeling well and took a personal day.
I went home and laid down for a nap but I can't snap out of it.
I wonder if I am having some depression.
Nothing really to bad is happening, it is all the little things that are piling up though.

My carpet shampooer broke the same day I just had it repaired and I didn't get to finish cleaning the carpet.

My daughter is moving out and has rented a house but she didn't have all of the money so she can't turn on the gas and water just yet.
I want her to hurry up and move so I can feel like my house is my own again, and get it cleaned.
I find messes every where and I don't feel like fighting over it with them leaving soon.

I think when my house is not in the order I want it in it drives me nuts.
I'm not cleaning every day just to find a mess later. My son stays upstairs with his stuff, I never see a mess from him. If I go up there to his part of the house it is always neat and clean.
I feel like I'm living in their filth down here.

I think I am depressed come to think of it.

What do you want from 40+?

I posted this as a reply to another thread. I decided to do it as a stand alone also. Now is the time to speak up. The members need to decide the future of the group. Here is what I wrote.

I'd like to see us agree to two things this group was founded upon, and make Blaz's life much easier. (She is serious about wanting to pass on the wand guys and I don't want to see the group disappear.)

When we were started I thought there were two things understood. One, that no one would be banned (booted) unless they violated the TOU's. Two if you post it you own it on 40+--no deletions or requests for deletions again unless it violates the TOU's.

If that is still what this group favors (and I believe it's still in our group message) lets try to stick to it. A moderators life will be far less stressful and we might just be able to keep her and keep the group.

Thanks MB, I like reading everyone's viewpoints here too. I can't say I change my mind very often (old and stubborn maybe?) but there have been times I've switched sides when someone "showed me the light". Let's please keep that light shining.

Racism: Huge Issue in this Campaign

No matter what the polls say about Obama's lead, racism is an issue in this campaign.

The only way it will not be an issue is that white people admit that it’s an issue .... then do something about it!

Check out Richard Trumka ... a top AFL-CIO leader, a white man, who’s making a very blunt pitch to blue-collar white voters about “getting over” their racist attitudes ... and vote for Obama.

Here’s the link: view link

Racism has always been a fact of life in the U.S.A. and continues to be no matter how far we've alledgedly come.

It’s the “elephant in the middle of the country’s living room.” The single ugly thread interwoven through every aspect of U.S.A. culture and society. And the ONLY subject guaranteed to make white people so defensive, they can't even discuss it rationally.

Read and listen to Trumka “tell it like it is.”

Well then, do you believe in Satan?

For those of you who so diligently answered (or not) the God question... tell me about Satan/Evil, or whatever you call it (or not) (we're so open-ended here!!)

Sarasota, FL area anyone?

Hello,
My wife and I love the Sarasota area for vacationing, which we frequently do. Has anyone looked into retiring there, or has anyone retired there? I would love any feedback regarding this as an area to retire or not. Thanks.

Economy busted; time to legalize

Marijuana?

Right now, we're spending billions in the failed drug wars. Remember prohibition? Remember how it didn't work and brought us the mob and mafia?

Legalizing marijuana would take the profits from the criminals and put into the Treasury.

Or, is it just about furthering the prison industrial complex?

Oh, and hemp ... the harmless fiber our constitution writers grew?

What say you??

New Moderator!!

Elle needed to step down as Moderator for our group, and we will surely miss her in that role, although she promises to continue to visit the group and participate! Yea!

MELLOWBLUE has graciously agreed to take on the responsibility of helping out the group. Please give her a warm welcome.
